Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Murrieta Residents Directory receives, how the limited information is used, and which choices are available. The reference points to public records and historical collections in Murrieta, Riverside County, and California. It does not host those government records, and it does not require an account to read the pages.

Information You Submit

Text entered into a name, phone, or address search is sent to the third-party provider that powers the sponsored results. Murrieta Residents Directory does not keep a copy of those searches on its own servers. If you contact the operators, the message and any details included in it are received so a reply can be sent.

Routine Technical Logs

Hosting systems may record ordinary technical data such as IP address, browser type, pages requested, referring page, and timestamps. The operators may review aggregate information to maintain the pages and understand which Murrieta directory resources are useful. Cookies or similar tools may support basic analytics or advertising measurement when enabled by the hosting or search provider.

How Limited Data Is Used

Information received through a contact message is used to answer it, maintain site security, diagnose errors, and improve the reference. Search text is handled by the provider that supplies the result tool. The operators do not use submitted searches to create a private Murrieta resident roll.

Links to External Services

The pages link to Riverside ACR, the City of Murrieta, Riverside Superior Court, California agencies, USPS, libraries, archives, historical organizations, and other custodians. Each outside service controls its own collection, cookies, terms, retention, and privacy practices. Review that service’s policy before submitting information.

Who May Receive Information

Hosting, analytics, security, advertising, and sponsored-search vendors may process technical or search information as needed to provide their service. A contact message may be available to the person or service responsible for answering it. Information is not sold by this reference as a private directory of Murrieta residents.

Security and Retention

Reasonable technical and organizational measures are used for the small amount of information under the operators’ control. No internet transmission or storage system is guaranteed secure. Contact messages and ordinary logs are retained only as long as needed for the stated operational purpose, security, or legal obligations, after which they may be deleted or made part of a routine log cycle.

People Under 18

The reference is not directed to children under 13, and the operators do not knowingly request personal information from a child. If a parent or guardian believes a child sent information, use the Contact page so the operators can review and remove information under their control.

California Privacy Choices

California’s Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, provides qualifying rights to know, correct, delete, and opt out of the sale or sharing of covered business data, with exceptions. California Civil Code sections 1798.100 and following describe the statutory framework. Because this reference keeps very little personal information, a request usually means checking the contact mailbox and applicable server logs.

California’s Delete Act also created the DROP request system for registered data brokers. The California Privacy Protection Agency states that DROP opened January 1, 2026, and that registered brokers must retrieve and process active requests on the applicable cycle beginning August 1, 2026. Use the California DROP program for broker requests, not a demand to remove a government-held deed, court file, voter record, or vital record. Public records remain under the control of their custodian and any statute-specific correction or redaction process.

Send a privacy request through the Contact page. Do not include more identity information than needed to locate data held by this reference. Requests directed to Riverside County, the City of Murrieta, a court, or another custodian must go to that office.

Changes to This Policy

This policy may be revised when the service, law, or data practice changes. The current version is posted here with its effective context. Continued use after an update means the revised policy applies to later use.
